Around ten feet of flight from the ball to the net, plus a few feet behind the ball for the radar. A one car garage is fine. A backyard is fine. Pace it out before you buy a net.

Yes, and that is how we use it. The R10 is radar, so it does not care about light. String some lights over the hitting area and you can play after dark, which realistically is when you are going to play.

If you want the hole projected onto the net, a cheap projector does the job at night. Daylight will wash it out, so plan on either evenings or playing off the phone screen.

Only for camera putting. One phone runs everything else. The putting phone does one simple job and can be old, slow, or borrowed from whoever came over that night.

Honestly? One of our friends called it "a bit fugly" and we put that on the front page, so take that as the answer.

The graphics are clean and readable. You can see the hole, read the ground, and tell where your ball went. What we spent the effort on is the ball flight and the numbers being right, because that is the part that makes you better. If you want photoreal, buy the expensive thing, it is genuinely lovely.

It will show you the truth about your gaps, your dispersion and your strike, which is more than a bucket of range balls does. What you do with that is on you.

The honest version: it is excellent for knowing your real carry numbers, finding the club you cannot hit, and getting familiar with a course before you play it. It will not fix your swing on its own.

Yes. Everybody goes on one card, nine or eighteen, and it keeps proper scoring notation: circles for birdies, double circles for eagles, squares for bogeys. Go low and a flock of birds comes across the screen, which is ridiculous and we are keeping it.

You need a putting mat with cups. A phone on a tripod watches the mat. When you reach the green it tells you out loud how far out you are and which cup to use, so you set the ball down without touching a phone. Then you putt and it calls it in or out.

You can also just play without it and handle putts yourself.

Yes. The app runs a small web server, so any device on your wifi with a browser can open the round: TV, tablet, laptop, smart projector. You get the full scorecard, the last five shots with whoever hit them, and every number off the monitor next to the view of the green.

Ten real courses, 162 holes, mostly around Austin plus Snowmass in Colorado. The full list with pars and yardages.

Ask. There is a form for it. We build them as we have time and we would rather build the ones people want. Some courses do not have good enough public data to do properly, and we will tell you if yours is one of them.

No. Everything in the app is in the app. New courses we add show up for everyone who already bought it.

The layout, the elevation changes and the green shapes come from public lidar and aerial imagery, so they are as accurate as that data is. Some greens are flatter than the real thing because the public elevation data is not fine enough to catch every roll. We are working on that rather than pretending otherwise.

Not to play. The courses come with the app. You need the phones on the same wifi for the watch screen and the putting camera, but that is your network, not the internet.

It stays on your phone. The watch page is served by the phone in your yard, not by us. We are not running a cloud that collects your swings.

Send you one message when the app is on the stores. That is the whole plan. We do not sell it, rent it, or start a newsletter with it.
